Ndurutu, Kenya 300g
A complex and vibrant profile with berry-like aromatics that lead to a juicy texture and flavours of blackberries, nectarines, and marmalade on the finish.
This coffee comes to us from the Ndurutu Factory washing station in Nyeri county and is an AB lot meaning the beans will look a little smaller than AA. Ripe cherries are harvested and delivered to the Ndurutu Factory by 527 smallholder farmers (365 men and 162 women) growing between 1650-1700 MASL. Processing begins at the washing station with pulping the cherries and then sorting them by density before fermenting underwater for 24-48 hours. After fermentation, the parchment is washed clean of mucilage and is set out to dry on raised beds for 14-21 days until the coffee reaches the desired moisture content.
