Layo Teraga, Ethipoia
Fresh and lively with delicate floral aromatics leading to a tea-like texture and vibrant juicy notes of hibiscus, peach, and black tea on the finish.
Located in Northern Guji in one of our favourite Ethiopian coffee regions, Uraga, Layo Teraga is part of Oromia, one of Ethiopia's largest farmer cooperative unions. The cooperative comprises 500 members who grow heirloom coffee in semi-forest environments at some of the highest altitudes in the country, with peaks up to 2300 MASL. Once handpicked, the cherry is taken to the local washing station Hawata, washed, fermented for 48 to 72 hours and dried on raised beds for 15 to 20 days.
